This release brings an update to PTO Hours within the OBBBA Federal Overtime calculation, report updates, along with additional fixes across TempWorks products.
The Highlights
Scheduled WebCenter MaintenanceOn Thursday, October 15th, TempWorks will be performing scheduled maintenance on WebCenter to support ongoing system improvements. The maintenance is scheduled to take place between 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM CST and WebCenter will be unavailable during this downtime. If you have any additional questions, please contact your TempWorks Account Manager.
Scheduled Open API, Job Service, and Email Service MaintenanceOn Sunday, October 18th, TempWorks will be performing scheduled maintenance on the Open API, Job Service, and Email Service to support ongoing system improvements. The maintenance is scheduled to take place between 8:00 PM - 8:30 PM CST and a brief service interruption is expected during this time. During the maintenance window, API requests that rely on connected cloud services may fail. Failed requests will not automatically retry and may need to be resubmitted by the calling system once service is restored. Clients with custom API integrations should ensure their systems can retry failed requests as needed.
OBBBA Federal Overtime Calculation - Update to PTO HoursTempWorks has identified that certain PTO hours could be included in the Federal Overtime calculation based on how PTO pay codes were configured. While PTO may count as hours worked for certain purposes, it should not automatically be included when determining hours eligible for Federal Overtime under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA). To address this, TempWorks is updating the Federal Overtime calculation to use a new "Counts as Federal OT" setting; this will allow the calculation to specifically identify which pay codes should be included in Federal Overtime, while excluding PTO.
*Note* In rare cases, an employer may have a policy or agreement that requires PTO to be included when calculating Federal Overtime. If that applies to your organization, please contact TempWorks Support before making any changes so we can help determine the appropriate configuration. |
